Good luck with selling the name. For info, folks may have to use the option to resend the account activation email, click on the link, then, if the current password does not work, use the password renew option. Early Sail This Year
Just had a great few days at the beginning of February. A couple of circumnavigations of Luing, twice to Puilladobhrain, Loch Melfort, Kimelford and Melfort Pier. Winds were 14 kts E or ENE gusting 30 to 45 kts at times, weather was mostly fair but cold and some rain at times. Also had a night sail ...

Re: Congratulations to Mavanier
Indeed, but for me it was the tension when asked to reverse into the berth, starboard side too. For those who don't know, Sruth struggles going backwards, has an upswept bow that blows down wind very easily and has a massive kick to port in reverse. Reversing into the berth meant the wind was blowin...

Indeed, and well deserved, tough conditions and an awkward boat to handle were all managed well. Congratulations.

A man was browsing a record stall at the Barras and he picked up an Elvis Presley record. He looked at the cover and it said “Wooden Leg”.
He said to the man running the stall, “Should that no’ say Wooden Heart.
The stall keeper replied, “Aye but it's a pirate copy”

A guy goes into a bar in Glasgow and says to the barman, “Gie’s 5 whiskies, Bell’s please” The barman pours them and the bloke pays and sets them up in a line. He lifts the first and downs it in one. After a pause, he lifts the third and downs it. Straightaway, he necks the fifth. He says to the bar...

Fan Heaters and Old Shore Power Consumer Units - Beware
Having run my fan heater at full chart for a while, the other day I noticed smoke coming from the consumer unit (shore power). The consumer unit came with the boat when I bought it 15 years ago, and was probably quite a bit older than that. It has an RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker), the main...

Re: Cut Off
Went up to the boat last Thursday and found that the Rest and Be Thankful had returned to a dual lane road, with the traffic lights gone. A joy to drive again with no delays. Before Christmas it was still the one lane traffic light system. Today, it was gloriously wet, a thaw has set in and the burn...
