Re: Africa

Inverness to Bodo is a long haul, too much for us on Fairwinds I think. We will attempt to cross to Haugesund and take it from there.

Was looking at the possibility of coastal sailing up to Bodo and leaving Fairwinds tehre for the Winter.

Re: Africa

Might be a bit of a write-up and photos if I have time Bit knackered just now. Sitting in a Portuguese restaurant waiting on suckling pig and octopus, early flight tomorrow. Last rabies jab on Friday in Oban then heading through the canal ASAP on Fairwinds. Was planning heading to Norway from Peterh...

Africa

Done an intercontinental sail, which is a first for Avy-J

200nm Alvor (Portugal) to Rabat (Morocco)

6 weeks gadding about by train, bus, camel, quad and tram, then seized a teensy weather window back to Alvor.

Back to Seil on Thursday to fettle Fairwinds.

Stop the traffic lights on Clachan Bridge

Clachan Bridge is a 234-year-old bridge that sits at the heart of our community on Seil. Re: Congratulations to Mavanier

There certainly were some tricky conditions, but the good ship Sruth handled them well. Seeing 44kts apparent as we tacked her during MOB practice will stick in my mind for a while.
